Former aide to the former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has shared his thoughts on the hierarchy of giving among Christians in the society.
The former presidential aide took to his social media page on Facebook to write:
“Don’t be manipulated any more. After giving to God, the most important people to give to are your parents not a pastor.
He noted: “Its good to honor your pastor with gifts. But if you have not first honored your parents, that honor becomes a dishonor. And no matter the pressure your church or pastor or parents or friends put on you, do not overspend on your wedding.
“Why have the wedding of a lifetime and afterward live in poverty for a lifetime? Think of your married life and not wedding day. I know I have offended many people with this nugget, but truth is bitter but when swallowed it will make you better. Lies are sweet, but when swallowed they poison your life #RenosWednesdayNugget
