Referee Martin Atkinson came under fire from Jose Mourinho after four decisions went against Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Burnley.

The Military, on Saturday, said Baga town in Borno State has been retaken from Boko Haram.

“Troops have this afternoon captured Baga after fierce battle with terrorists. Heavy Casualties. Mopping up ongoing. Details later,” the military said via Twitter today.

One of the World's tallest Residential Buildings in Dubai gutted by Fire


Report early today from LIB says the Dubai Marina Torch, an 86-storey building which stands (1,105 ft), was engulfed by fire in the early hours of today forcing a mass evacuation. The fire reportedly started around the 52nd floor then moved to the lower parts of the building. Thousands of residents were evacuated from the high-rise and it took more than a dozen fire trucks to extinguish the flames.

Authorities say there were no reports of deaths or injuries from the Marina Torch fire and the cause of the fire is not immediately clear.

Report: Group Hails Military’s Recent Successes Against Boko Haram



A civil society organisation, Citizens Advocacy for Social and Economic Rights, has applauded the recent gains recorded by the Nigerian Armed Forces against the Boko Haram.

This was contained in a statement by the Executive Director, CASER, Mr Frank Tietie, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Saturday.

The statement read, “The recent success of the Nigerian Armed Forces against the insurgents is highly commendable.

“Bravo to our forces. God bless the Nigerian Armed Forces”.

The organisation praised the country’s armed forces for being focused in the ongoing offensive against Boko Haram, despite the “overwhelming peculiarities of the insurgency war against Nigeria”.

It added, “Much of our country is relatively safe today against a well-orchestrated Boko Haram conflagration against Nigeria.
