Hajara began her career as a non-commissioned officer in 1986. She rose to become the first Hausa Muslim woman from a core Northern state to reach the rank of Wing Commander, equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel in the Army.

Hajara, a daughter of late Marafan Birnin Kudu, Colonel Bashari Umaru, from Birnin Kudu in Jigawa State, is currently the Chief Matron of Armed Forces Medical Hospital, Kano. She has been to war in Congo, served at Ibadan, Kaduna, among other places within the country.

A Kenyan National has won the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon! The winning time was 2 hours, 16 minutes, 21 seconds for the marathon which kicked off at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere and ended at Eko Atlantic in Victoria Island. 

Kenya’s Abraham Kiptom, has emerged the winner of the much publicized Access Bank Lagos City 42.1km marathon after three hours of fierce race. He was crowned the winner in 2hrs 21 mins 20 secs ahead of his fellow compatriot, Hosea Kipkembe. Debebe Toise of Ethiopia came third behind the Kenyans. 

Chibok Girls May never be found, Stop Deceiving Nigerias - OBJ


Former Nigeria President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that all hope of bringing back the Chibok girls alive after about two years of being captured by Boko Harram militants seems to have been lost finally.

He also asked Nigerian leaders to stop deceiving the populace for Chibok girls cannot return again.

Fielding questions from the audience Friday Night, at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Staff Club, at a programme tagged, “7th Roundtable with Obj”, the former president blamed the immediate past administration for the fate of the Chibock girls.

It all started when Noela Rukundo left her home in Australia to return to her native Burundi to attend her stepmother’s funeral.
“I had lost the last person who I call ‘mother’,” she says. “It was very painful. I was so stressed.”
After the funeral, she went back to her hotel room and got a call from her husband, Balenga Kalala. They have three kids together.

Meek Mill Sentenced to 90 Days House Arrest to avoid Jail Sentence


This is really a bad time for Rapper Meek Mill, he has been ordered 6 to 12 months in county jail after he was found to have violated is probation back in December, but the Judge said he can spend that time on house arrest.

According to report, the judge will re-evaluate after 90 days to determine how much longer he’ll remain under house arrest. His sentence begins March 1st.

While under house arrest, he’s unable to do any ‘work’just charity work. That means no albums, no mixtapes, no performing, etc. After that, he’ll be on probation for another six years.

Jay Z's Tidal to Donates $1.5 Million to Black Lives Matter


Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service has announced it will donate $1.5 million to Black Lives Matter and social justice organizations aligned with the BLM message according to report from EW. The announcement comes on the day Trayvon Martin would have turned 21.
The money for the sizable donation was raised at Tidal’s sold-out charity concert in Brooklyn this October, which featured performances by many Tidal artists as well as owners Jay Z, Beyonce, and Nicki Minaj. At the concert, Usher and Nas performed “Chains,” which calls out police brutality against African Americans.
