Nigerian Air Force plane crashes in Yola


Director of Defense Information for the Nigerian Armed Forces, Col Rabe Abubakar has confirmed that A Nigerian Air force plane crashed in Yola Adamawa state today October 10th. By the time of this report the cause of the crash is yet to be ascertain.

Felix Okugbe, Veteran Sports Journalist is Dead


Okugbe died on Saturday morning at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital. He passed away after a long battle with cancer, says his family.

Okugbe was the Head of Sports communication at Africa Independent Television and RayPower.

Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is dead


Former Bayelsa state Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is dead according to report. Alamieyeseigha reportedly died at a private hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The former governor had reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest earlier in the week. 

Channels Television reports that the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Esueme Dan-Kikili, confirmed that Alamieyeseigha died of cardiac arrest on Saturday.

Amaechi to Wike: "Take me to court and stop throwing childish tantrums"


Its no longer news that there is a standing feud going on between Governor of Rivers state, Wike Nyesom and his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.

Amaechi has described the committee set up by Wike to probe his administration, as a silly and sickening distraction. The former governor dared Wike to go to court if he has any case of alleged corrupt activities against him.

Amaechi, who disclosed this in a statement released by his media office, said it was obvious that Wike’s panel was on a mission to indict him.

The U-20 Women National Team, Falconets, have qualified for the final round of the African qualifying series for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate defeat of their counterparts from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

FIFA U-17 Women’s 2012 World Cup top goal scorer Chinwendu Ihezuo was the heroine of the two legs, scoring both goals in Abuja on Saturday, to add to her goal in Kinshasa two weeks ago, when Nigeria beat the hosts 2-1.

IVF baby Photo surrounded by syringes goes viral


This Photo of an IVF Baby surrounded by syringes was shared on Facebook on October 5, by Sher Institute, one the largest fertility clinics in the US, after the child's mother, Angela, finally succeeded in becoming pregnant after more than a year-and-a-half of cycles. The photo has since gone viral with thousands of people sharing the photo to their social media page 

The photo was captioned with: "Wow, what a photo. Thank you to Sher Fertility St. Louis and Dr. Dayal patient Angela, who shows the true definition of love that went into making this gorgeous new baby girl."
