Davido and Wizkid fly private jet together back home after shutting down Congo


After an electrifying performance by Davido and Wizkid in Congo both of them took pic inside a private jet, apparently to let Nigerians know they are bonding very well. I am happy for this two has their friendship is becoming stronger by the day. It's good for our music industry. Davido posted this on Twitter:

Zayn Malik new solo album breaks 28 years standing record, including two others


Zayn Malik has set a new record as the first UK male artiste to debut at No.1 in the U.S charts with his first solo album meaning he has effectively knocked out Adele from the number one spot.

The former One Direction star has also become the first UK male artist to reach the top of the American charts in 28 years after George Michael’s ‘Faith’ in 1988.

REVEALED: CBN Recruited 909 Staff in 2 Years Without Advertising Vacancies


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recruited 909 staff in two years without advertising the vacancies, investigations have revealed.

The whole affair is now a subject of investigation by the Federal Character Commission (FCC) to determine if due process was violated. The FCC is the body responsible for ensuring equity, fairness and balance in all employments into government establishments.

Investigations showed that some of the basic requirements for employment were not followed in the recruitment. For instance, the various positions to be filled by candidates were not advertised, and the figures also suggested that the exercise was lopsided in favour of certain sections of the country contrary to the provisions of the federal character.

Battle in National Assembly over unpaid salaries


A showdown is imminent between presiding officers and management of the National Assembly over a three month unpaid salaries of political aides appointed by the officers.

Both the presiding officers and principal officers were permitted by the Revenue Mobilization, Fiscal and Allocation Commission (RMFAC) to appoint specific number of aides who were placed on consolidated scale of remuneration.

Since the beginning of the 8th assembly, it was gathered that the management had not found it easy paying the salaries of the aides and that of established workers due to paucity of cash flow.

It was confirmed at the weekend that the last time political aides, appointed by the presiding and prin­cipal officers, received their salaries was in December, while those who were given letters of appointment since January were yet to be paid a dime.

Jackie Chan, Lionel Messi and Russian President Vlamir Putin and a host of other big names are among the top celebrities that has been exposed by the massive leak of information from a law firm in Panama, according to report, these people are among the host of others hiding their wealth in tax havens just to evade tax in their country.

Vladimir Putin was not directly named in the report but was allegedly traced back through his associates. Investigators claim he ‘secretly shuffled as much as $2 billion through banks and shadow companies’.

Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi owns a shell company along with his father, Mega Star Enterprises, which was previously unknown to Spanish investigators probing the Barcelona forward’s tax affairs.

Femi Adesina says "Buhari Sold His House to Access FOREX for his Child’s Education"


Femi Adesina, The special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari sold his property to access foreign exchange (forex) for his child’s education.

Mr. Femi Adesina, who could not confirm if the president got forex from official sources or the parallel market, said one would have to ask the president himself.

Speaking in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on The Osasu Show, Mr. Adesina said the central bank of Nigeria (CBN), is experiencing a paucity of forex.

Nigeria Army capture leader of Islamist militant group, Ansaru


Nigeria's army said on Monday it had arrested the leader of Islamist militant group Ansaru, a splinter faction of Boko Haram that has been accused of kidnapping and killing Westerners.

According to pulseng, in 2012 the U.S. State Department named Ansaru leader Khalid al-Barnawi one of three Nigerian militants blacklisted for ties to Boko Haram and al-Qaeda's north African wing.
