Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has dismissed allegations by the national assembly leadership that the Presidency was behind its many travails. The Senate during its plenary last Tuesday June 21st, accused the presidency of using the judiciary to fight & intimidate the legislature.

Lawmakers made the allegation in the wake of the fresh charges of forgery of senate orders leveled against Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu, for which they would be arraigned before an Abuja high court tomorrow June 27th.

In this fresh interview with Independent correspondent in Aso Villa, Innocent Oweh, Femi Adesina, dismissed the claim, stating that  President Buhari understands the separation of power in a democratic system

The study sought to better understand the relationship between perceived attractiveness and condom use intentions in a heterosexual male population between ages 18-69. 

The researchers found that more attractive a woman was judged to be on average, the more likely participants would be willing to have sex with her and the less likely they were to intend to use a condom during sex. 

"Male perceptions of attractiveness influence their condom use intentions," the study said. 

"Such risk biases could profitably be discussed during sex education sessions and in condom use promotion interventions," the researchers noted.

The clip depicts 12 naked celebrities in bed together: West, wife Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Ray J, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Bill Cosby, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump and George W. Bush. It’s believed most of the figures are wax sculptures, but West’s camp has declined to say which people actually posed for the video.

Rock Artist Steven Tyler Announces their band will embark on Farewell Tour in 2017

American rock Artist Frontman Steven Tyler confirmed earlier this week their band Aerosmith is planning a farewell tour for 2017, telling Howard Stern on Tuesday, "I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this: The band's over."

"We're doing a farewell tour, but it's only because it's time," Tyler, 68, said.

The radio host made Tyler confirm it: Did he mean "farewell" as in the band would be gone for good?

"Yeah," Tyler said, adding that guitarist Joe Perry also knows. (Tyler's manager did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.)

Kelly Clarkson to drop New Album in 2017 After Leaving Longtime Record Label

Singer Kelly Clarkson 34, announced on Friday that she's left her longtime record label, RCA Records, in favor of a new deal with Atlantic Records, where she is working on a "soulful" new album to be released in 2017.

"I came from American Idol, which was awesome, but it was kind of an arranged marriage after getting in the industry," Clarkson explained in a Facebook livestream. "While it was awesome sometimes, sometimes it was rough."

Clarkson made sure to show plenty of gratitude for the team at RCA, where she released six full-length albums since 2003, plus one holiday offering.

Police report indicts AIG, others in Ese Oruru Investigation

The police have submitted the report of their investigation into the abduction of Ese Oruru to the Police Service Commission with the report recommending sanctions for the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 1, Shuaibu Gambo and other officers.

According to SUNDAY PUNCH, it was gathered that the sanction for Gambo was informed by the shoddy investigation into the abduction of the teenager and her forceful conversion to Islam.

Ese was abducted in 2015 and taken to Kano by Yunusa Dahiru who converted her to Islam and also impregnated her. Yunusa is facing criminal prosecution in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, while the teenager had since given birth to a baby girl.

Hassan Bello appointed Head of Implementation Committee for National Carrier

The Federal Government has announced Mr Hassan Bello, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) as the Chairman, Implementation Committee for the new national carrier.

Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi who made the announcement at the weekend said the government has resolved to have the national fleet in order to boost the nation’s economy via job creation and improved revenue generation.

Amaechi noted that President Muhammadu Buhari administration is pursuing a total diversification of the economy with a strong belief that a national fleet that is private sector driven will stimulate the maritime industry.

Many will no longer remember him but Uche Odoputa was close to becoming an A-list actor. He was once a star actors in Nollywood, he had a huge fan base and was on the verge of becoming as  prominent as the likes of  Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah and Jim Iyke.  Unfortunately, he altered the course of his career. In 2007, he was arrested for trafficking drugs and subsequently, he was imprisoned for two years and three weeks.

The Orlu, Imo State-born actor, said he wasn’t making enough money and some individuals took advantage of his desperation and introduced him to the drug trade.

“I regret my actions. I was a growing brand and  a lot of people were angered by  my action. I was disappointed in myself. I thank God I came out of prison  a changed person,” he said.

Nollywood Actor and Director Fred Amata loses car to robbers

Star actor and movie director, Fred Amata was robbed in the early hours of Saturday.The actor who was a guest on the popular talk show, FajAlive on LTV was robbed about 13 hours after he left the show.

The armed robbers according to the statement his friends released on social media took away his Lexus SUV, phones, money and  shoes.

Fred who is the president of Directors Guild of Nigeria has reported the robbery incident to police station and he’s hoping his stolen properties would be recovered.

Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON takes control of Afrijet Airlines over N10b debt

Justice Chuka Austine Obiozor of a Federal High Court, Lagos Division has ordered the Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON, to take over Afrijet Airlines Limited.

The company is allegedly owing AMCON nearly N10 billion.

The order also affects Ibe’s Continental Aviation Services Limited. AMCON has since appointed Prof. Gbolahan Elias, SAN, as Receiver/Manager.

President Buhari And Obasanjo In Another behind door Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday held a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It was held away from the prying eyes of journalists. It was learnt that Obasanjo, who was decked in white agbada, arrived at the Presidential Villa for the meeting at about 1pm and left around 2.20pm.

Pope Francis calls on Armenia and Turkey to bury the hatchet

Pope Francis called on neighbours Armenia and Turkey to lay aside their differences and also expressed his hopes for peace in the Caucasus region during an ecumenical prayer service in the Armenian capital Yerevan. 

"May God bless your future and grant that the people of Armenia and Turkey take up again the path of reconciliation, and may peace also spring forth in Nagorno-Karabakh," the pope said on Saturday. 

Addressing the younger generation, Francis said: "Cherish the great wisdom of your elders and strive to be peacemakers: not content with the status quo, but actively engaged in building the culture of encounter and reconciliation." 

The people gathered for the services applauded the words of the 79-year-old pontiff.
