This is the uncompleted church building that is causing some controversy. The church group’s house of worship (name withheld) was started some time ago, and is still not finished after seven years.
However, according to Daily Sun SA, ever since the walls went up, strange noises started coming from the place at night.
Fearing ghosts had moved in, residents went to look in the day – and found out that the holy ground had become a place where people have s*x at night.
Residents from N section in KwaMashu, north of Durban, said when they heard a church would be built near their homes, they were happy.
But now they’re not so sure, saying the church group should hurry up and finish the job.
One of the residents said at first he thought the strange noises at night were from ghosts. “I was scared and asked other neighbours about it. No one knew what the noises were. After some time, I asked a friend to accompany me on Saturday to investigate in the light of day.
“We saw a blanket, used condoms on the floor and toilet paper. We were shocked,” he said.
Ward Councillor Sikhumbuzo Ngcobo said: “We can’t have buildings that are left unfinished.”
