Jamie Vardy's wife reveals how she attempted suicide following her sexual abused

Wife of England and Leicester City Striker Jamie Vardy, Rebekah Vardy has opened up about the horrific sexual abuse she endured when she was just a teenager and how it lead to her attempt of suicide twice.

The stunning brunette, 34, who married the England footballer, 29, just weeks ago, admitted she even attempted to take her own life twice as she struggled to cope with the ordeal.

The star revealed a "family friend" targeted her for three years as a teen, and it led to a downward spiral into depression and "devastating decisions".

“I didn’t want to live anymore, it was as simple as that. I felt as though I’d done something wrong," she told The Sun .
“It changed the course of my life because I made devastating decisions, I never felt worthy of proper happiness."
She chose to speak out having shot into the limelight following her wedding to football ace Jamie.

Becky added that they fell out years ago because her mum allegedly 'didn't believe her'.

The stunning WAG grew up in Norwich with her mum and dad, Portuguese window cleaner John Miranda, now 63, as well as her sister Esther, 31.

Her parents split, however, and Alison began dating radio presenter Ian, the newspaper reports.

They moved to Oxfordshire shortly after, and it's there Becky says the abuse began - when she was just 13-years-old.

Describing the first time, she said she was sat with her family and some friends looking through holiday brochures when she put the brochure in front of her face, he [the family friend] "grabbed her boob".

Rebekah admitted she froze in shock, unsure what to do, and from then on she never felt safe.

According to the star, it only got worse, as he did "more and more" each time he saw her.

“He’d be aroused sometimes and I’d feel him behind me heavy breathing. He’d squeeze me wherever he could, it was sick," she told The Sun.

It eventually began happening almost every week, and she said if she ever tried to resist - he would hit her while her family weren't around.

Becky said it started a downward spiral as she began to skip school and drink, before eventually reaching her lowest point and attempting to take her life aged 15.
“I wanted to end it, I wanted to escape. I lay on my bed sobbing," she admitted.
She said her stepdad eventually found her with pill bottles next to her, and forced her to be sick

However, it didn't end her unhappiness, and as her smoking and drinking began to cause more arguments in the family, Becky said she broke down and told her mum everything.

But according to the WAG, she didn't believe her - having watched her downward spiral for so long.

She eventually turned to her dad, who took her to the police.

Rebekah claims it caused huge arguments with her mum's side of the family, and she eventually left home at 16 - before marrying Mark Godden, now 37, a year later.

But the marriage didn't bring happiness for Becky, who admitted it felt "fake" - and as she struggled to cope, she attempted to take her own life again.

The couple split shortly after, and Becky began dating a man 20 years older than her before they welcomed daughter Megan. However, they split shortly after.

Eventually, she describes a friend setting her up with footballer Luke Foster, 30, who now plays for Harrogate Town - and they were together happily for six years.

Despite the long relationship, the pair split after welcoming son Taylor, and Becky admits she began having suicidal thoughts again.

She eventually sought help with a therapist, and has recovered and moved forward - even now hoping to someday work with abused children in the future.
