Enugu: PDP says state don't need another party

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State has declared that the people of the state have no need for another political party, stressing that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has wiped away their tears by keeping his campaign promises.

The state chairman of PDP, Mr. Augustine Nnamani, stated this at Ikem and Nkwo Nike during the inauguration of newly-elected PDP executives in Isi-Uzo and Enugu East Local Government Areas, noting that the governor’s unprecedented developmental strides and peace initiatives had made the repositioning process of the party easy.

While praising the efforts of the state government, Nnamani stated that Ugwuanyi had kept his campaign promises to the people through massive roads construction with drainage, brand new classroom blocks for public schools as well as other infrastructure, especially in the rural areas.
“In Enugu, we do not have need for another party because the governor has put smiles on the faces of the people. We believe in what we see; nobody will bring propaganda here because the government is doing well,” he said.
The party chairman went on to charge the newly-inaugurated party executives to remain steadfast and deploy their effort to mobilise and sensitise the people at the grassroots on the good work the governor is doing ahead of 2019 elections.
