Staff of Construction Company Survived after been buried alive by Excavator


In the early hours of today a staff of a construction company was buried alive by an excavator which was also working for the company in Benin City, Edo State but the incident was later averted as some other staff came to his rescue after two hours.

According to a report from ITV Radio, the incident occurred at Second East Circular by Agbonwobu junction where pipes are being laid as part of a gas pipeline project.


Eye witness account indicates that the victim was working in a trench dug for the pipeline project when the excavator covered the trench with and with the victim inside.

On realizing that the victim was under the sand, a crowd of onlookers started digging until they were able to rescue the victim who was later taken to the hospitcal.
