Mikel says he wouldn't swap my Olympic medal for a place in the Chelsea team

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel believes Antonio Conte is punishing him for his decision to play at the Olympics but says he would not swap his bronze medal for a place in the team.

The 29-year-old has not made an appearance this season, having been frozen out of the first-team since his return from Rio de Janeiro, where he claimed a bronze medal.

Nigeria's technical adviser Gernot Rohr claimed that Conte has deliberately kept Mikel out of his plans as a result of his decision to forgo their pre-season plans in favour of playing at the Olympics.

There is no free lunch anymore in Edo – Governor Obaseki

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Sunday advised individuals and groups expecting freebies from the new government that there would be no “free lunch anymore”.

Obaseki noted that his administration would be radically different from his predecessor as it would focus on governance, rather than politics.

The Federal Government is to rehabilitate Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport runway, Abuja, with about N1 billion.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that a reliable source from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, disclosed this to aviation correspondents in Lagos on Sunday.

The runway had been in bad state due to overuse and had been a source of concern to Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers.
