Nigerians seeking overseas treatment for medical conditions and those who go to have their babies so that they could become citizens of that country, may not be allowed into the United Kingdom (U.K.) after a Nigerian woman, Bimbo Ayebola, left the British National Health Service (NHS) a bill of £145,000.

According to a report published yesterday in DailyMailUK, thousands of migrants could be barred from Britain under a crackdown on health tourism.

INEC to Senate: You can’t dictate to us on re-run

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday said that the Senate couldn’t dictate to them on when re-run elections will hold in Rivers and Anambra states.

The Senate had, on Wednesday, threatened to suspend sitting indefinitely if the electoral body did not conduct rerun elections in Rivers and Anambra states before December 10.

Kano State High Court presided by Honourable Justice Dije Abdu Aboki has convicted and sentenced one Aliyu Suleiman to 195 years imprisonment.

The convict was arraigned by the EFCC on September 30, 2014, for allegedly stealing over N21, 000,000 (Twenty-one Million Naira only) from Albasu Microfinance Bank. Upon his arraignment, the convict pleaded not guilty to all the count charge brought against him by the EFCC.

EFCC, Boss Ibrahim Magu reveals that forces are plotting to tarnish his image

The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has alleged that some forces not comfortable with his campaign to rescue the nation from the vice grip of corruption are plotting to ruin his reputation.

Magu in a statement on Thursday, November 3, through the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, said those behind the plot were already spreading campaigns of misinformation in the social media intended to impugn his integrity and set him against certain interests both within and outside of government, Premium Times reports.
