A man accused of raping a disabled woman and an underage girl has been attacked by a vigilante gang when police arrived to arrest him. The officers were quickly overpowered by the lynch mob who turned up to steal the prisoner from them so they could dish out a swifter form of 'justice'.
The police had tracked him down to a derelict house, but locals found out and arrived at the same time.
The moment was filmed by a witness and shows the man being knocked down and hit repeatedly.
While some of the mob are content to punch and kick him, others hit him with metal objects and bats, with one even tries to stab him with a machete.
The policemen eventually managed to protect the badly battered suspect and bundle him into the open back of their truck, where they then drove him out of the area.
Two officers were also injured in the attack.
