President Buhari says his government not responsible for Nigeria’s economic recession

President Muhammadu Buhari has dismissed insinuation in certain quarters that his administration is responsible for the current economic recession ravaging the country.

Speaking in Abuja, Buhari who insisted that his administration did not lead Nigeria into recession again blamed the current economic challenges on the mismanagement of the past governments.

He stressed that no matter the scale of the problems facing the country, the important thing was how to tackle the current challenges.

Buhari to pay a one-day working visit Sokoto

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to pay a one-day working visit to Sokoto State on Saturday.

The Spokesman of Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Imam Imam, said on Friday that the President would be in the state to inspect and inaugurate some developmental projects,

Imam said that among the projects earmarked for inauguration by the president is the 500-housing estate at Kalambaina-Sokoto.

Kano State High Court presided by Honourable Justice Dije Abdu Aboki has convicted and sentenced one Aliyu Suleiman to 195 years imprisonment.

The convict was arraigned by the EFCC on September 30, 2014, for allegedly stealing over N21, 000,000 (Twenty-one Million Naira only) from Albasu Microfinance Bank. Upon his arraignment, the convict pleaded not guilty to all the count charge brought against him by the EFCC.

An evil husband has bitten off his wife's nose after she refused to return home and agree to his dowry demands. Raj Kumari married Shiv Prasad two years ago but when the pair separated last year, Shiv, 23, continued to demand a luxury dowry from his wife's family.

He wanted them to pay him around £1,800 and buy him a motorbike. The 21-year-old woman moved out to live with her parents in Lakhimpur Kheri, in northern India, but Shiv continued to harass her.
