WAEC releases withheld results of Bayelsa students

Bayelsa State's Commissioner for Education, Mr. Makson Fefegha, has said that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has finally released the results of the May/June examinations for students in all public schools in the state.

House Speaker Paul Ryan told members of the House Republican Conference Monday morning that he won’t defend Donald Trump anymore and won’t campaign with him and will focus over the next 30 days on keeping the House majority, according to a Republican on a conference call.

“You all need to do what’s best for you in your district,” Ryan told his members, according to a readout provided by the Republican source. Ryan did not, however, say that he was rescinding his endorsement of Trump.

Federal Government secures $1.3bn SMEs deal with World Bank, others

The Federal Government over the weekend reached an agreement with the World Bank Group and other development partners for the release of about $1.3billion for the funding of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the planned takeoff of the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN).

Nigeria’s Finance Minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, broke this news at a post event press briefing in Washington DC, USA, and stated that upon commencement, DBN would serve as a conduit for government intervention in SMEs and medium sized enterprises as part of efforts to achieve inclusive growth.

Junaid Mohammed blast Buhari says He is a tyrant and despot

Junaid Mohammed has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari and his government as “clueless”, “confused”, and “biased” in a recent interview in which he also branded the president a tyrant and a despot.

Dr. Mohammed, a vocal politician from Northern Nigeria, also said that he knew that Buhari was an “economic illiterate” and as such is to blame for the current economic crisis in the country.

While responding to questions about the Buhari’s handling of the economy, Mohammed also described Buhari as arrogant and out of touch with governance.

The Iranian child bride, Zeinab Sokian was sentenced to death for the 2012 murder of her husband, when she was just 17. Zeinab married another prisoner while in jail and fell pregnant, and as Iranian law prevents pregnant women from being executed her death sentence was delayed.

Revealing more details, Dailymail revealed that on September 30 she gave birth to a stillborn child in Euromieh central prison in northern Iran, meaning she could now be put to death within weeks.
