The Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), yesterday told the Federal Government not to see the one-year ‘incarceration’ of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and founder of Radio Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as a defeat to Biafra agitators.
46-year-old Kanu was arrested by DSS at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos in October 2015, on his way back from the United Kingdom (UK). Since then, he has been in detention and tried for alleged treasonable felony. MASSOB said the continued detention and trial of Kanu has increased the agitation for the creation of Biafra State.
