Comedian, Patrick Onyeke, who is popularly known as Mr Patrick give account on how he and  his wife, Tammy, an American accountant met and their love story.

How did you meet your husband?

Tammy: We met in South Africa. I was there to attend a convention. While I was there, a colleague asked me to accompany her to a comedy show. At the time, I had no idea who the comedians billed to perform were. Patrick came on stage soon after we arrived the venue. I loved his performance and I began to scream out of excitement. I was glad to see him and told my friend that I had always wanted to meet him. She then met with one of his friends who introduced us.

Hassan Bello appointed Head of Implementation Committee for National Carrier

The Federal Government has announced Mr Hassan Bello, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) as the Chairman, Implementation Committee for the new national carrier.

Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi who made the announcement at the weekend said the government has resolved to have the national fleet in order to boost the nation’s economy via job creation and improved revenue generation.

Amaechi noted that President Muhammadu Buhari administration is pursuing a total diversification of the economy with a strong belief that a national fleet that is private sector driven will stimulate the maritime industry.

Reminisce debunk relationship rumour with Actress Adunni Ade

The relationship between Rapper Remi Safaru, aka Reminisce and Actress Adunni Ade was a subject on social media a couple of weeks ago.

Many sources who spoke to Sunday Scoop said they have seen the two entertainers  together in the recent and some others said they often attend shows in company with each other.

However, in a telephone conversation with Sunday Scoop, Reminisce, who is popular for rapping in Yoruba  , said the story is not true and they are not intimate in any way.

"Drug trafficking ruin my career and my little fame" - Actor Uche Odoputa

Many will no longer remember him but Uche Odoputa was close to becoming an A-list actor. He was once a star actors in Nollywood, he had a huge fan base and was on the verge of becoming as  prominent as the likes of  Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah and Jim Iyke.  Unfortunately, he altered the course of his career. In 2007, he was arrested for trafficking drugs and subsequently, he was imprisoned for two years and three weeks.

The Orlu, Imo State-born actor, said he wasn’t making enough money and some individuals took advantage of his desperation and introduced him to the drug trade.

“I regret my actions. I was a growing brand and  a lot of people were angered by  my action. I was disappointed in myself. I thank God I came out of prison  a changed person,” he said.

Nollywood Actor and Director Fred Amata loses car to robbers

Star actor and movie director, Fred Amata was robbed in the early hours of Saturday.The actor who was a guest on the popular talk show, FajAlive on LTV was robbed about 13 hours after he left the show.

The armed robbers according to the statement his friends released on social media took away his Lexus SUV, phones, money and  shoes.

Fred who is the president of Directors Guild of Nigeria has reported the robbery incident to police station and he’s hoping his stolen properties would be recovered.

Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON takes control of Afrijet Airlines over N10b debt

Justice Chuka Austine Obiozor of a Federal High Court, Lagos Division has ordered the Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON, to take over Afrijet Airlines Limited.

The company is allegedly owing AMCON nearly N10 billion.

The order also affects Ibe’s Continental Aviation Services Limited. AMCON has since appointed Prof. Gbolahan Elias, SAN, as Receiver/Manager.

When asked if his voters should pick Donald over Hillary, Bernie didn’t have to think twice. “My supporters are smart enough to know that we do not want a bigot to become president of the United States,” he said.

Actor Anthony Monjaro says He will marry next year

Have you seen the TV series Lekki Wives? If you have then you should know Actor Anthony Monjaro. He played a key role in the sex driven movie of the Life of wives in Lekki.

But despite all the attention, Monjaro is still unmarried. The London returnee who is well over 40, said he has yet to find his feet and  needs time to settle down in Nigeria since he just relocated.

President Buhari And Obasanjo In Another behind door Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday held a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It was held away from the prying eyes of journalists. It was learnt that Obasanjo, who was decked in white agbada, arrived at the Presidential Villa for the meeting at about 1pm and left around 2.20pm.

Details of the discussion between the two leaders were not readily available as of the time of filing this report but the meeting, it was learnt, might not be unconnected with the “latest happenings” in the country.

Pope Francis calls on Armenia and Turkey to bury the hatchet

Pope Francis called on neighbours Armenia and Turkey to lay aside their differences and also expressed his hopes for peace in the Caucasus region during an ecumenical prayer service in the Armenian capital Yerevan. 

"May God bless your future and grant that the people of Armenia and Turkey take up again the path of reconciliation, and may peace also spring forth in Nagorno-Karabakh," the pope said on Saturday. 

Addressing the younger generation, Francis said: "Cherish the great wisdom of your elders and strive to be peacemakers: not content with the status quo, but actively engaged in building the culture of encounter and reconciliation." 

The people gathered for the services applauded the words of the 79-year-old pontiff.

This is such story of a US Maine Republican Governor whose wife, Ann LePage got a waitressing job a few weeks ago to complement her husband's $70,000 per year salary, the lowest of any U.S. governor. 

The Governor Paul LePage made this known at a recent town hall in Maine.

The LePages live with their dog, in the Augusta governor's mansion and bought a $215,000 Boothbay home two years ago. The governor recently tried but failed to increase his successor's salary to $150,000 per year, above the nearly $135,000 average for all 50 state governors in 2015.

Two inmates from Kuje Prison currently on the run

According to Sahara Reporters, two inmates of Kuje Prison in Abuja are currently on the run. The inmates who are awaiting trial, escaped by scaling the fence of the prison yesterday at about 7pm. Above is a Photo of the fence of the prison. 

The names of the inmates on the run are Maxwell Ojukwu  from Delta and Solomon Amodu from Kogi. There were speculations earlier today that the suspected mastermind of the 2010 Independence day bombing, Charles Okah who is being held in the prison, was among the inmates that escaped but the prison authority's have refuted the claim.

Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, on Saturday asked President Buhari to also call for a referendum on Nigeria just like his British counterpart David Cameron did yesterday June 24th.

The group said the referendum would help Nigerians decide if they still wanted to stay together.
