Founder of WorldStarHipHop dead at 43

The founder of the influential music and urban culture website WorldstarHipHop.com, Lee O’Denat, has unexpectedly died.

Known simply as “Q” by his friends and followers, the media mogul and father of three was 43 years old.

LA Times reports the San Diego County medical examiner’s office said O’Denat was at a business in a San Diego shopping center identified by police as a massage parlor  when he became unresponsive.

Paramedics arrived and attempted to revive him with CPR, but he was pronounced dead about 5:30
p.m. The cause of death is heart disease, with obesity considered a contributing factor, according to the coroner’s office.

TMZ first reported O’Denat’s death and said WorldStarHipHop founder Lee O'Denat died in his sleep Monday night of a heart attack.

Q founded the premiere hip-hop website in 2005 when he started posting mixtapes, which gradually progressed into a mash-up of hip-hop videos, fight clips and other outrageous camera footage.

WorldStar issued a statement confirming the news and said the site would continue.
