Borno First Lady says Buhari has silenced critics with rescue of 21 Chibok girls

Wife of Borno State governor, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, has said that the release of 21 abducted Chibok Schoolgirls from the hands of the insurgents by security operatives has made her the happiest woman on earth, and commended President Muhammadu Buhari and security operatives, whose unflinching efforts also shamed critics and other opposition parties.

The Borno First Lady disclosed this when she led a high powered delegation from the state to pay a visit to the 21 released schoolgirls who are in custody of security agencies in Abuja.

Addressing the girls, Hajiya Nana advised that the rescued Chibok schoolgirls including the previous ones should use education as a weapon to fight back all forms of terrorism and violence, so that they will serve as a role model to others in the society despite their bitter experience.

She said, “We are here to express our gratitude to God Almighty for sparing your lives up to this moment, you have tested the bitter experience in live, but I can assure you that government will do everything possible to turn your fortunes for the better in the society.
“Apart from your biological parents who are happy, myself and my husband, Governor Kashim Shettima are the happiest. I can recall the bitter experience we went through with my husband after the abduction took place at your school in Chibok, some critcis/oppositions took up the sad development as an opportunity to say all sorts of accusations and counter accusations against our APC-led government in the state.”
