The Biggest Crack In That Glass Ceiling Yet | Hillary Clinton Wins The Democratic Presidential Nomination

Hillary Clinton made an appearance following Alicia Keyes performance during the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, July 26.

The former secretary of state, who officially became the Democratic presidential nominee earlier in the evening, appeared via video conference at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to thank her supporters and address her history-making moment.

“Hello, Philadelphia, I am so happy for this great day and tonight. What an incredible honor you have given me and I cannot believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet,” Clinton, 68, said. “Thanks to you and everyone who has fought so hard to make this possible. This is really your victory. This is really your night. And, if there are any little girls out there who stayed up late to watch, let me just say: I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next. Thank you all. I cannot wait to join you in Philadelphia. Thank you!"
Clinton made history when she became the party’s nominee. This is the first time in history that a woman has led the presidential ticket for a major party.

The former first lady is running against Donald Trump, who was named the Republican presidential nominee last week during the Republican National Convention.

Clinton previously ran for the Democratic nomination in 2008 against President Barack Obama.
