Ohanaeze slams INEC, passes no vote of confidence on Uche Ogah

The Ohanaeze Youth Council passes no vote of confidence on Uche Ogah. They said this at a press conference it held at Abuja on Monday. They also accused Ogah of being desperate for power.

While noting that Dr Ogah was fronting for some elements who were opposed to Igbo political interest, they vowed to checkmate his antics.

The press conference was jointly addressed by Mazi Obinna Achuonye, the National Vice Chairman of the body in Imo State, Dr Kingsley

Chiedozie, the Deputy National treasurer of the body and Barrister Chika Nzelu, a stakeholder of the organisation.

They alleged that “Dr Ogah, who is not even from Abia State, has an agenda to implant the views and antics of the oligarchy in Igbo land and Abia state.‎”
“We condemn in most strong terms this recent strange judgement of the court; it is purely an agenda meant to spite Ndigbo and enthrone confusion in Abia State.
“We are calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the EFCC and the National Judicial Commission to thoroughly investigate the judgment with a view to sanctioning the judge”, they further stated.
Ohanaeze equally slammed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for giving the Certificate of Return to Dr Ogah.

They questioned the haste with which the INEC issued the order, accusing the body of compromise.

The group thanked the Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice for declaring that the court should be allowed to determine the direction of the case.
