Man bags 4 weeks in Prison after attempting to break into Mourinho's house

A man arrested near Jose Mourinho's London home has been jailed for attempted burglary.

The incident happened on July 10 while Manchester United manager Mourinho was watching TV as his native Portugal won Euro 2016 with an extra-time victory over France.

Pictures published in The Sun newspaper appear to show Mourinho looking out of a window at police officers who are standing next to a man in a baseball cap.

Mourinho's maid spotted the man trying to get into the central London house through the basement door.

According to The Sun, the man tried to flee but a security guard, who had been tracking him after reportedly seeing him trying doors at other properties, blocked his path and a team of eight police officers dashed to the house before leading the man away in handcuffs.

Gabor Roman, 25, of no fixed address, was sentenced to four weeks in prison when he pleaded guilty to attempted burglary after his arrest.

The Metropolitan Police said Roman was arrested on Sunday July 10 and pleaded guilty to the offence two days later at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
