How Beyonce's 'Lemonade' affected My family - Damon Dash

Dame Dash recently spoke about how Beyonce's overly loyal fans reaction to her song 'Lemonade', affected his family.

When Bey released her sixth album, Lemonade, the world was instantly drawn to one song in particular, as it brought to light possible infidelity between the singer and her husband Jay Z. The track "Sorry," is about another woman whom she referred to as "Becky with the good hair. The song fueled rumours that Rachael Roy was the woman Jay Z allegedly cheated on BeyoncĂ© with.

The Beehives went into overdrive, they didn't only attack Rachael Roy, the went in for her daughters, especially Ava. They invaded her Instagram page and left nasty comments. In fact, they unleashed the worst venom on the young girl. All the comments were upsetting to read. So, imagine how her father felt.

The music mogul says he could care less about the rumors about his ex-wife Rachel Roy, but he did have a problem with fans bringing his daughters into the drama, attempting to involve them in the social media backlash Roy experienced once the song came out.
“The only issue I had is them putting pressure on my children," Dash said. "And for me it’s the history between me and Jay [Z] and me being his partner at the time in Roc-A-Feller and Rocawear and all that and [his] best friend. Of course on a human level, it would bother me."
Dash called in therapist Dr Jen to help him address the rumors during a conversation airing on his own radio show, The Dame Dash Show, adding that he didn’t want to discuss the album and its aftermath until he could do so professionally. He also shared he wasn’t interested in gaining any press from the situation, and wanted to wait until he could talk about it on his own platform.
"I didn’t address it until I got to address it professionally," he said. "I believe in therapy, and I believe an objective opinion sometimes helps you be a better person."
Dash also went on say that he feels bullying in any form should not be tolerated, and was displeased when his daughters became a target in the situation, simply because of who their mother is.
"The worst disrespect of all time is to disrespect someone’s children. The way I was feeling about it, is that anyone who would harass a child is a coward. I have been in rap for a while but I have never had anyone disrespect my kids."
