FIFA to support NFF with $750,000 for football development


The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will officially get subvention from the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for developmental program in the country. 

According to reports the international body announced, “increasing our financial support for member associations and football development to 5 million USD per four-year cycle for each member association from 1.6 million USD per cycle.” 

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will officially get subvention from the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for developmental program in the country.


This means that the NFF will get $750,000 per year a whopping (N226million) which will be for projects like pitches, competition and improving women’s football. 

All the Confederations get $40million as against the usual $22million in every four years for the development of the round leather game. 

Against this back drop Nigerian have the chance to improve football so that the various national teams can be able to compete at international competitions if the funds are channeled properly.
