Two men have been arrested in connection with the assault, which the victim says involved 33 men.

The abhorrent attack has sparked outrage across Brazil, with hundreds of protesters demonstrating outside the Justice Ministry building in Brasilia.

Speaking of her horrific ordeal, she said: "I fell asleep and woke up in a different place with a man underneath me, another one on top and two other holding my hands and several people laughing at me. Also, I was drugged and confused.
"There were many people armed and many boys laughing and talking.
"There were adults and not only boys. Now they judge me and blame me.
"They robbed me. They robbed me but not of any material property but of physical property."
The teenage victim told police she had arranged to go a boy's house in the Jacarapagua area of the capital on Saturday night.

The next thing she remembers is waking up the next day, naked and in a different home.
She said she was surrounded by more than 30 men, many armed with guns.
The teenager was forced to take some of the men's clothing and flee the scene.
She has since received extensive medical treatment.
The two men arrested are Rai de Souza, 22 and Lucas Perdomo Duarte Santos, 20 - according to prosecutors.

The assault came to light after a 40-second clip was posted on Twitter and WhatsApp which showed the girl naked, beaten and unconscious.

The men can be heard laughing while they sexually assault the victim.

Many men tweeted pictures and images of the attack with misogynistic comments.
