Taylor Swift didn't give Kanye West approval to name drop her in controversial new song

More controversy surrounds Kanye West’s new album The Life of Pablo ... This time it has to do with one of the song called “Famous” that name drops Taylor Swift in a not-so-positive way.

The line goes,
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that bitch famous”
At first everyone seemed a little taken aback at the lyric  especially considering the fact that Kanye West and Taylor Swift are (were) on good terms.

TMZ sources then reveal that Kanye West called Taylor ahead of time and explained that it was a ‘joke’ and Taylor approved.

Taylor’s brother, however, took to Instagram to share a video of him throwing a pair of Kanye’s Yeezy Boosts in the trash.

According to Taylor’s spokesperson, Kanye never asked for approval and Taylor “cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.”

Approval aside, can anyone explain how Taylor could caution Kanye about releasing a song with ‘such a strong misogynistic message’ but at the same time was never made aware of the ‘actual lyric’?
