The Ooni of Ife will be delivering a sermon at the Victorious Pentecostal Assembly on the 22nd of March according to the founder of VPA, Pastor Alex Omokudu who was in Nigeria recently. 

According to the Pastor who is fondly called Daddy, he said, "the Ooni is a man filed with wisdom. A man called by God. God put him on that throne. He was called the same way I was"

Rivers Rerun: INEC confirms outbreak of violence, says 25 workers hospitalized

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday confirmed the outbreak of violence in the just concluded Rivers supplementary elections held on Saturday in Etche that lead to the hospitalization of over 25 of its workforce.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the victims were attacked and wounded by Rivers people.

According to him, one of the victims regained consciousness on Sunday.

Three weeks after Prof. Maduike Ezeibe of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Abia State claimed to have discovered a cure for Human Immuno-deficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS), Spanish scientists over the weekend said five patients living with the disease are virus-free seven months after taking a new vaccine.

According to a study published in New Scientist, the treatment, developed by researchers in Spain, allowed the patients to stop taking regular antiretroviral (ARV) drugs – the current method of suppressing HIV.
