Orubebe Guilty Of False Asset Declaration - CCT

The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has found Godsday Orubebe, former minister of Niger Delta affairs, guilty of false declaration of his asset.

Danladi Umar, chairman of the tribunal, delivered the judgment convicting Orubebe of the offence.

However, he gave him a light sentence.

Senate President Bukola Saraki today announced an 8-members Ad-hoc Committee that would investigate the plight of the IDPs in Nigeria. Fifa president Gianni Infantino has proposed expanding the World Cup finals to a 48-team tournament  a larger number than his election promise.

The Italian suggested 16 of those teams would be eliminated after one knockout match – before the group stages.
