Daughter busted after faking her Kidnapping to Her Mum (VIDEO)


A daughter sent into her mother, a sick hoax kidnapping video, claiming she was tied up in a hotel room after being kidnapped.

22-year-old Jessica Johnson filmed herself on a bed bound and gagged in South Carolina, US.

Her mother Christie called the police who managed to track her down and find her slumped on the bed and unresponsive. It was now discovered to be a hoax .

In Bayelsa | Nigerian Navy Seizes Vessel Loaded With 600,000 Litres Of Diesel


The Central Naval Command, CNC, Yenagoa on Saturday announced the seizure of a vessel laden with 600,000 litres of suspected illegally refined automotive gas oil also known as diesel.

A statement by Lieutenant Commander Edward Yeibo on behalf of Flag Officer Commanding, CNC, Rear Admiral Mohammed Garba, said two of the four suspected oil thieves were arrested while loading the barge with diesel.The statement reiterated the Navy’s Zero Tolerance of crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, illegal oil bunkering and other sundry crimes in the Niger Delta Region. According to Mr Yeibo, the operation which yielded the feat is in line with the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas’ strategic directive to the Navy.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed why he will not seek vengeance against killers of Abuja preacher, Deaconess Eunice Olawale Elisha.

Forty-two-year old Mrs Elisha was hacked to death by hoodlums on June 9 at Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory while preaching early in the morning.

She was an assistant pastor at the RCCG, Divine Touch parish, Old NEPA road, Phase 4, Kubwa, before she was slashed in the neck and stabbed in the stomach by suspected religious fanatics.

Breaking | 16 confirm dead as Hot Air Balloon Catches Fire


Police confirmed that 16 people died on Saturday in the crash of a hot-air balloon, which eyewitnesses said struck power transmission lines and burst into flames before plunging into a pasture in Texas.

According to reports from Reuters, the Federal Aviation Administration said the crash, one of the deadliest balloon accidents on record, occurred near Lockhart, about 30 miles (50 km) south of Austin and that at least 16 people were on board the craft.

The FAA did not comment on fatalities, but Caldwell County Sheriff Daniel Law said there did not appear to be any survivors and that his office was working to determine the identities of those aboard.

Boko Haram can’t distract us - UNICEF resumes aid in Borno


UNICEF says it will not allow the attack on its convoy divert it from reaching the over two million people in need of aid in the north-east.

On Thursday, a humanitarian escort duty and Nigerian soldiers were ambushed and attacked by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno state.

The convoy, which was en route Maiduguri from Bama, included staff from UNICEF, UNFPA, and IOM.

Describing the attack as “heartless”, Jean Gough, UNICEF representative in Nigeria, said the task at hand is important.
