Photos: Mysterious healing water reportedly drops from Divine Mercy statue In Amichi

Alleged miraculous drops of water from the jaw of the Divine Mercy statue have been spotted in Amichi, Anambra state. Here's the story as shared by Facebook user, Chidi Wazinga Ilechukwu:

'At first I was reluctant sharing these pictures online. It took me and some priests days to asertain this miraculous drop of water from the jaw of the Divine Mercy statue. 

Nigerian prisons holding 68,259 inmates as at March 2017 – Controller General

The Nigerian Prison Service has disclosed that over 68,000 inmates are accommodated in the prison facilities throughout the country as at March 2017.

The Controller General of Nigerian Prison Service, Jaafaru Ahmed, made the disclosure in an interview with the Economic Confidential.

Ahmed said the agency has reopened prison farm centres towards self-sufficiency in food production.

Fighters in Syria claims deadly Damascus bombings

The alliance of hardline fighters in Syria known as Tahrir al-Sham has claimed responsibility for twin bombings targeting Shia pilgrims in the centre of Damscus that killed at least 40 people.

“On Saturday… a twin attack was carried out by two heroes of Islam … in the centre of the capital Damascus, killing and wounding dozens,” the statement said.

The group, a large portion of which previously fought as an al-Qaeda affiliate, said the attack targeted “Iranian militias” and pro-government fighters in revenge for what it said was Iran’s role in supporting President Bashar al-Assad’s “tyrannical rule”, holding them responsible for “killing and displacing” Syrians.

Tragic! Four children drown in Abuja river

Four children, Jinkai Hakila, 10, Bridget Ibrahim, 11, Precious Ezra, 14 and Azumi Daniel, 16, were on Saturday found drowned in Danko River, Galadimawa Community, FCT suburb.

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria, who visited the community, reports that residents were thrown into mourning following the ugly incident.

The four dead children together with other children were at the river for washing before the incident occurred at about 11a.m.

A Nigerian banker, Mr. Tajudeen Popoola, alongside his heavily pregnant wife and two children were stopped and sent back to Nigeria by US immigration officials after they left home for a vacation trip to Florida.

Tajudeen and his family members had a 2 year visa but planned to spend just two weeks, a claim the immigration officials didn't believe before bundling them back home.
