Former Chocolate City Boss, Audu Maikori’s trial to commence on Monday

The trial of Chocolate City Records boss, Audu Maikori, who was first arrested on February 17th (Miss it, Read Here) and then rearrested last Friday in Abuja for incitement and sharing fake information, is scheduled to commence in Kaduna, tomorrow, Monday, following the transfer of his case to the office of the Attorney General of Kaduna State.

He was moved from Abuja to Kaduna, during the weekend, and is currently in detention at the Gabasawa Police Station, Kaduna State.

President Trump fires US prosecutor who refused order to quit

High-profile New York prosecutor Preet Bharara who was among the federal attorneys asked to resign by the White House was fired Saturday, he announced on Twitter.

US President Donald Trump’s administration on Friday demanded the resignations of 46 US prosecutors appointed during the two terms of his predecessor Barack Obama.

Bharara was included in the group asked to leave, even though he said he had met with Trump before the Republican took office and had been asked to stay on.

Tragedy struck in Anara, a satellite town in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State on Thursday, when a popular native doctor in the area reportedly died on top of a commercial sex worker in the town.

According to eyewitnesses, the herbalist, who was identified as Lambert Osigwe, died while having sex with a prostitute whose name was given as Onyinye Nwosu in a local brothel in Anara main market.

Eyewitnesses recounted that the victim was a regular customer of the harlot who had allegedly offered to give him free sex that day even when he said he had no money.

According to the story making rounds, it is alleged that he stabbed and butchered his mum to death, after they had argument over food.

According to him, people present refused to help the physically challenged man who they thought was dead. UN Warns Against Food Insecurity In Northern Nigeria

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations says about eight million people will go hungry in northern Nigeria by the year 2020.

The organisation also said at least 4.5 million people in the region would be needing urgent food assistance.
