Presidency Activates $20B Ogidigben Gas Industrial Project

Following the renewed interactive engagements of the Federal Government with oil-producing communities in several states in the Niger Delta region, a plan to put in place a gas industrial park that is valued at about $20B through a Public-Private Partnership model is now in process.

Tagged the Gas Revolution Industrial Park, GRIP, Ogidigben, and envisaged to be a regional hub for all gas-based industries, the project will cover 2700 hectares with fertilizer, methanol, petrochemicals, & aluminium plants located in the park that has already been designated as a Tax Free Zone by the FG.

Music Legend, Tuface Donates N3.5m To United Nations

Nigerian Music icon, Innocent Idibia,A.K.A Tuface, has donated N3.5 million to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Nigeria, to support humanitarian interventions.

The commission disclosed this in a statement issued by Mr Hanson Tamfu, External Relations Officer, UNHCR, Nigeria, on Monday in Abuja.

He said the donation from the 2face Foundation was to support the commission in providing life-saving support to families forcibly displaced in Nigeria and across the continent.

Rivers Rerun: INEC confirms outbreak of violence, says 25 workers hospitalized

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday confirmed the outbreak of violence in the just concluded Rivers supplementary elections held on Saturday in Etche that lead to the hospitalization of over 25 of its workforce.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the victims were attacked and wounded by Rivers people.

According to him, one of the victims regained consciousness on Sunday.
