RCCG's Total Income Was Less Than My Salary - Pastor Enoch Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has said that on assumption of office as the head of the ministry his salary as a lecturer was more than that of the entire church.

According to The Vanguard, Adeboye said this while ministering during a three-day special programme to end the church’s 40-day fasting and prayer period at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

Federal Government owes 105,920 retirees N705BN - Pencom

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) says the Federal Government owes 105,920 retirees about N705 billion.

This is contained in a memorandum submitted by the Director-General, National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, to the National Assembly Joint Committee on Appropriations.

According to the organisation, the Federal Government owes its 2016 retirees N73.1 billion while N113 billion is required for the 2017 retirees.

Boko Haram ‘attacks Borno village, kill 3’

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen have killed at least three persons in a community in southern part of Borno State, local security sources in the area said.

According to Premium Times who spoke with one of the vigilante group, Michael Emmanuel, he said the assailants stormed Yaza-Kumaza village at about 4 p.m. Sunday, a vigilante operative in the area.

He said many villagers who fled into nearby bushes as at the attackers opened fire, had not returned home by 10p.m.

Wickedness! Woman kills pregnant co-tenant in Ebonyi because her child defecated on the ground

24-year-old Jacinta Ewa Omiko, is alleged to have murdered her pregnant co-tenant, Ginika Gabriel, because the victim’s child defecated on the ground.

The evil act happened in the compound where they reside at Akpoh, a village in Afikpo North Local Government Ebonyi State, following an altercation.

Omiko was alleged to have hit Gabriel on the head with a kitchen stool and she slumped. She died within minutes following the failure of efforts by neighbours to revive her. Her body was subsequently deposited at God’s Seed Funeral Mortuary,  Afikpo, awaiting autopsy.
