Wike explained that with the cooperation of hotel owners in Rivers, crime would be reduced in the state.

The governor, who issued this warning during a meeting with hotel owners at the Government House in Port Harcourt, observed that most hoteliers hardly record the identities of those who lodged in their hotels.

Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested and arraigned a Warri-based legal practitioner and son of the South-South Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Mr. Tareri Avwomakpa, over his Whatsapp message allegedly calling for support for General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman.

The former Governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori who was released last month from prison in the United Kingdom (UK) has arrived in Nigeria.

Ibori whose flight landed in Abuja some hours is said to be on his way to his hometown, Oghara in Delta state.

Ibori was released from British prison in December after serving half of his 13-year sentence, taking into account pre-trial detention.
