UPDATES! Whatsapp extends Blackberry shutdown

WhatsApp earlier this year announced they would no longer be supporting BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 handsets by the end of 2016 but it seems they have changed their mind.

According to an update in the FAQ section of  the WhatsApp app, it has now been extended to June 30, 2017.

The update reads thus:

Elemi-Edu, who is the President of Catholic Women Organisation of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Calabar, was kidnapped at about 7pm on Friday when she went to visit the reverend sister in charge of Good Samaritan Home.

Recovered loots to part-fund N2.69tn deficit in 2017 budget

The Federal Government is proposing to fund part of the 2017 budget deficit of N2.69tn from funds recovered from treasury looters.

The proposal is contained in the Medium Term Expenditure Framework/Fiscal Strategy Paper, which was submitted to the National Assembly.

The Senate had two weeks ago dismissed the 2017-2019 MTEF/FSP sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the documents as “empty” and as such should not be considered.

OMG! 15-year-old couple livestream shootout with police before turning the gun on themselves

A Russian  teenage couple on the run from their parents live-streamed a shootout with police on Periscope before killing themselves.

Despite officers' attempts to negotiate with them,the 15-year-olds, dubbed the 'Instagram Romeo and Juliet', allegedly opened fire at a police van after barricading themselves inside a house. They then turned their guns on themselves and committed suicide, Russian Investigative Committee said.
