Alex Iwobi will turn down a big-money move to mighty Barcelona to stay at Arsenal because he is still learning the trade, according to his father.

The 20-year-old Nigeria international has been at ‘The Gunners’ since he was six and he is now a first teamer.

His father, Chuka, said his son is still developing at the top London club and would rather stay put there.

The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, has assured Nigerians that the security challenges in the Niger Delta will soon be resolved.

Kachikwu gave the assurance in Abuja on Friday in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Mr Idang Alibi.

The minister, according to the statement, observed that three attacks had taken place in the last two weeks, including Wednesday’s Forcados bombing, in spite of efforts being made to promote peace in the region.

Nine Feared Dead In Fatal Vehicle Accident Along Enugu Expressway

No fewer than nine persons including two females were feared dead in an auto crash which occurred along the busy Enugu/Nsukka Expressway by 9th mile corner, Enugu.

The vehicle, Nissan bus with registration number NUJ 3 conveying passengers and driven by one Adams Awudu, was said to have had break failure while descending a hill close to 9th mile corner Ngwo.

Five NAHCO Staff Charge With Drug Smuggling At Abuja Airport By NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has filed charges against officials of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) at the Federal High Court, Abuja over an attempt to smuggle 144kg of ephedrine to Maputo, Mozambique.

The anti-narcotics agency said in a statement signed by its spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, that the foiled effort took place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Federal Government donates Made-In-Nigeria drugs to Cameroon's train accident victims. Photos

The Federal government today donated 70 tonnes of Made-In-Nigeria drugs to victims of a train mishap that happened in Cameroon in October this year. No fewer than 70 people were killed and nearly 600 injured when an overloaded passenger train travelling between Cameroon's two largest cities derailed and overturned.

The drugs were presented to the Cameroonian envoy by Minister of state for Foreign Affairs, Khadija Bukar Abba.

Eight men including four Nigerians were arrested on November 10th, for duping after sending a bogus e-mail to the account manager of a hotel in Greater Noida claiming to be their owner.

The suspects on September 28th, wrote an email identifying as the Chairman of Hotel Crown Plaza, directing the account manager to deposit the money in 8 bank accounts.

A spokesperson of the Nigerian military has revealed that captured Boko Haram members cannot even recite the Quran meaning that they don’t even practice the religion they claim to fight for.

So sad! NYSC Member Drowns In Bayelsa Boat Mishap

A National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, the member is believed to have drowned in a boat accident on Thursday in Okpotuwari Community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa.

Sources in the community told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday that the corps member, who hailed from Anambra drowned when the canoe he boarded capsized.

Tontiemote Yeiyei, a resident, said the deceased, who was serving at Okpotuwari Community, had gone to Ondewari with two of his friends across the Osiana creek by a hand paddled a canoe.
