Amnesty Int'l pleads for clemency over Nigerian man set to be executed in Singapore

The Singapore government has fixed November 18th as the date for the execution of Nigerian man, Chijioke Stephen Obioha, who was arrested for drug trafficking on April 9th 2007.

Chijioke was arraigned in a court in Singapore on December 30th 2008 and was sentenced to death for the crime which attracts capital punishment in Singapore. Chijioke was found with over 2.6 kilograms of cannabis when he was arrested.

Female students in top Manchester school- Altrincham Grammar School are furious after their female Muslim classmate filmed herself on Snapchat throwing the Holy Bible down the drain. After she was reported to school authorities, the school just gave her a warning.

The girl taunted classmates as she carried out the provocative act, leading parents to complain to her £15,000-a-year school. but she was set free after she apologised to the school authorities.

Yesterday catastrophe was averted when a fully-loaded plane of Air Peace had to abort landing at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, en the pilot discovered that the runway had been invaded by cows.

A fully-loaded Air Peace aircraft hovered over the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri for some time after cows invaded the runway.
