A prediction by influential Nigerian TV evangelist TB Joshua that Hillary Clinton would win the US presidential election has been removed from his Facebook account.

Mr Joshua told his congregation on Sunday that he "saw" a woman winning.

After Donald Trump convincingly won Tuesday's vote, visitors to the preacher's Facebook page noticed the prophecy had been removed.

Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Doyin Okupe has expressed joy over the emergence of Donald J. Trump as the President-elect of the United States of America.

Okupe on Wednesday on his Facebook page said Trump “contested against the entire american establishment” and won.

Quoting from Psalms 33 verses 10 and 11 of the the Holy Bible, Okupe wrote, “The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought, He maketh the devices of the people of non effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever.”

SCARY! See the snake that was seen in an airplane overhead locker

Some passenger aboard a flight in Mexico were left scared after a 3ft snake appeared in an overhead locker in their plane. On sighting the reptile, passengers unbuckled their seat belts and ran in panic causing the plane to be given a priority landing. The snake was trapped with a blanket provided by the flight attendants until the plane was successfully landed. Then animal control workers rushed into the plane and captured the reptile.

A Facebook user, Sylvia Ijeoma who is a nurse shared photos of a deformed baby that was born in the hospital she works in. She said the deformity was due to the use of contraceptive by the mother while she was pregnant.

Republican wins Big in Senate as Democrats fall short in #USElection

Republicans held onto their slim Senate majority Wednesday, a stinging blow to Democrats in a night full of them. Democrats had been nearly certain of retaking control but saw their hopes fizzle as endangered GOP incumbents won in Missouri, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and even Democrat-friendly Wisconsin.

GOP-held New Hampshire remained too close to call in the early morning hours Wednesday, but even if Democrats eked out a win there it would not make a difference.
