A woman has fulfilled an astonishing 14-year dream of holding her own funeral, while still alive.

Vera Lucia da Silva, 44, arranged to carry out her bizarre wish to lie in a coffin all day while family and friends pretended she was dead. And she said it was 'the best day of her life'

The extraordinary ceremony, which was held on the Day of the Dead celebration in South America on Wednesday, November 2, took place at a funeral home in Camocim, a seaside resort in northeast Brazil.

EFCC, Boss Ibrahim Magu reveals that forces are plotting to tarnish his image

The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has alleged that some forces not comfortable with his campaign to rescue the nation from the vice grip of corruption are plotting to ruin his reputation.

700,000 people applied for 500 jobs - FIRS

Policeman kills wife and two daughters then turned the gun to himself

A police officer from Genoa, Italy reportedly shot his wife, Rosanna Prete and his two young daughters while they slept on Wednesday morning, November 2nd, before turning the gun on himself.

According to Italian media, the 49-year-old identified as Mauro Agrosi, then contacted the local police unit where he worked in a technical role, saying: "Come to my house, I'll leave the door open. I've killed them all"
