Former Custom Boss, Abdullahi Dikko returns N1.4 billion, mansion seized

Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko who served as comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) between 2009 and 2015 has returned about N1.4 billion to the federal government.

The Punch reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) established that about N40 billion was diverted from the account of the NCS while he was in charge.

He was arrested by EFCC operatives but due to poor health, he was released.

ASUU says this is not the change Nigerians voted for

The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi has said the situation of the country was not the change Nigerians voted for.

Ogunyemi said this while speaking at a public lecture and distinguished service award organised by the University of Ibadan chapter of the union on Wednesday.

He regarded the change promised by the All Progressives Congress as cosmetic, stating that the union was ready to educate Nigerians on the real change.

The Chief Security Supervisor of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) and three others are currently being interrogated by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for their alleged involvement in the exportation of 144kg of Ephedrine to Maputo, Mozambique.
