Man Commence Trekking From Lagos To Abuja To Support Sheriff’s Faction of PDP (Photo)

A trekker, Muhammed Isa, 32, has once again embarked on a walk from Lagos to Abuja in solidarity with the Ali-Modu Sheriff’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faction. Isa, who started the walk from Berger footbridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, told newsmen before departing at about 9.12 a.m. that youths of the party support Sheriff as the Chairman.

“I am on solidarity trek from Lagos to Abuja to show my support and the support of youths to Sheriff as the authentic national Chairman of PDP,’’ he said.

The Indian Government on Monday refuted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s allegations that phones of judges were being tapped.

Indian Law Minister Ravi Prasad said at an event organised to celebrate the Delhi High Court’s 50th anniversary.

President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, this morning joined the local villagers in fetching water on a bicycle in Kawumu village, Luweero District.

The president did this to mobilize and demonstrate drip irrigation for crops that he planted on a land recently acquired by the government in the area.

The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress said on Sunday said it was time former President Goodluck Jonathan was invited for questioning over the alleged looting of the nation’s treasury under his administration.

The APC chapter said it had now become indefensible to pretend that Jonathan did not know anything about the alleged corrupt practices of some of the public office-holders who served under him.

Delta State | Militants blow up another pipeline

The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate has attacked another crude oil delivery line at Effurun-Otor, Ughelli South Council Area of Delta State.

The pipeline, which is operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, was brought down by the militants early Sunday morning.

Greenland Mandate, whose leader was arrested two weeks ago, said the attack was in rejection of Tuesday’s meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and some leaders of the region.
