A Virginia pastor, his wife and a friend of theirs have landed in trouble after allegedly defrauding their Alexandria congregation out of more than $1 million, Fox5DC reports.

The report states that Terry Wayne Millender, who serves as pastor of Victorious Life Church in Alexandria; his wife, Brenda; and a friend, Grenetta Wells, who is also affiliated with the church, were all recently indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money-laundering conspiracy.

A heartless housewife, Mrs. Ogechi Iruwane has allegedly tortured her 12-year-old girl, Mmesoma Ani, by using her bare hands to pinch off the victim's chest and inflicted serious injuries on her back.

The girl has now been admitted to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Surulere, because of the severity of the injury.

According to Punch, the woman also starved for the girl for two days for allegedly stealing a piece of meat. The woman's evil act was exposed by a trader on Nurudeen Street, Orile Iganmu, Lagos State, where the incident happened after she raised the alarm on Tuesday.

A second powerful aftershock rattles Italy after 5.4 temblor

A pair of powerful aftershocks shook central Italy on Wednesday, knocking out power, closing a major highway and sending panicked residents into the rain-drenched streets just two months after a powerful earthquake killed nearly 300 people.

The first quake carried a magnitude of 5.4, but the second one was even stronger, with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1 according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The U.S. Geological survey put the magnitude at 6.0 and said the epicenter was in Visso, where buildings crumbled into the street.

Female banker pays assassins to eliminate ex-husband in Lagos

Two suspected hired assassins and a female banker has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command over failed attempt to assassinate her ex-husband identified as Tochukwu Onyebuchi.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Wednesday. He said the banker, Oluchi Tochukwu, hired the suspected criminals to assassinate her husband in his residence at Ayobo area of Lagos State.

Iliyasu named the two suspected assassins as Chigozie Smart (32) and Kingsley Ikechukwu (36).
