Sevilla lived up to Diego Simeone's billing as LaLiga title contenders on Sunday as Steven N'Zonzi's second-half strike clinched a deserved 1-0 win over 10-man Atletico Madrid.

Jorge Sampaoli's men came into the game in fourth after a strong start to the season and, having dominated possession for much of the match, they claimed a deserved first win over Atletico in any competition since October 2010.

Angel Correa wasted a glorious chance towards the end of a tight first half and Sevilla should have capitalised on that just after the break – Samir Nasri hitting the post and Vitolo going close.

Manchester United Eric Bailly sustains knee ligament injury

Jose Mourinho confirmed Eric Bailly sustained a knee ligament injury during Manchester United's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.

Bailly collided with Eden Hazard early in the second half and hobbled off to be replaced by Marcos Rojo in the 52nd minute.

Mourinho fears it could be a "bad" injury, with the Ivorian centre-back now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Alvaro Morata believes Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is addicted to scoring goals after the star missed numerous chances against Athletic Bilbao.

Mustafa, Executive Director, Doublem Enterprises Development Centre, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos that using the tree’s trunk as planks and its fronds as roofing sheets was depleting the economic and ornamental tree.

As the recession bites harder on the economy, the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has lent his voice proffering solutions to halt the dwindling economy.

More details have emerged from the ongoing investigation into the $2.1billion arms deal scandal, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reiterated their stance to make a Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro pay for his crimes if found culpable.

According to reports, Koro as is he is fondly called, was not ferried into the country by the EFCC to be used as a prosecution witness against other suspects in the $2.1billion arms cash.

Police Recovers 19 Cars, SUVs from Former Inspector General

Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector General of Police, has demanded a probe into the illegal purchase and distribution of cars by his predecessors.

The probe was necessary because of the findings that revealed retiring officers, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, were in the habit of buying vehicles, and appropriating it for their own personal use.

A special investigation panel, which was created for the purpose of the probe, had identified and recovered 19 police vehicles from former IG, Solomon Arase.
