Abdullahi at a round table on the Kaduna State 2017 budget proposal organised by the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), said that the administration spent N2.1 billion annually on the items.

According to Punch Metro, two other siblings, John Agboroko, 30; and 34-year-old Matthew Agboroko, were also apprehended, as well as other suspects - Samson Okpe, 32; Paul Jago 30; Saheed Oriyomi; 32; and 29-year-old David Quenum from the Republic of Benin.

According to the report, the suspect, Dada Azeez, 28, had abducted Kabirat on October 5 while on an errand for her aunt in Agege area of Lagos before she was rescued on October 21th, 2016.

More details have emerged from the ongoing investigation into the $2.1billion arms deal scandal, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reiterated their stance to make a Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro pay for his crimes if found culpable.

Police Recovers 19 Cars, SUVs from Former Inspector General

Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector General of Police, has demanded a probe into the illegal purchase and distribution of cars by his predecessors.

The probe was necessary because of the findings that revealed retiring officers, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, were in the habit of buying vehicles, and appropriating it for their own personal use.

A special investigation panel, which was created for the purpose of the probe, had identified and recovered 19 police vehicles from former IG, Solomon Arase.
