A 50 year old Man's penis was amputated by surgeons after the man, frustrated by lack of sexual activity with a partner, used a bottle to pleasure himself and then got his manhood stuck in the bottle for four days. By the time the man came to hospital, his penis had already started decaying and doctors had no other choice than to amputate it.

The International Committee of the Red Cross on Sunday clarified that its activities did not include negotiation for the release of hostages taken by terrorists.

The International President of the ICRC, Peter Maurer, said this in Lagos against the background of media reports that the ICRC was involved in the negotiation that led to last Thursday’s release of  21 out of over 200 Chibok girls abducted by the Boko Haram sect.

Maurer said though the girls were released to the ICRC by the Boko Haram sect to hand them over to the Federal Government, negotiation for release of hostages was not part of the ICRC’s activities.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said his administration was open to continue talks with Boko Haram, provided the sect agreed to involve international agencies.

FIRS shutdown cement, engineering firms over tax evasion

Federal Inland Revenue Service enforcement team from Abuja stormed Rivers State on Monday and sealed off Lafarge in Onne and IGPES in Port Harcourt for  alleged tax evasion.

While the cement company was sealed for allegedly failing to pay over N10m in taxes; IGPES, an engineering firm, was shut for allegedly evading tax to the tune N1.2bn.

Speaking shortly after sealing off the two companies, the leader of the FIRS team, Mrs. Ruth Mandeun, warned their managements to pay the outstanding taxes to allow for the reopening of the firms.

Governor of CBN, Emefiele says Managing an economy in recession difficult

Managing an economy in recession is a difficult task but also presents challenges that are surmountable, the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has said.

Prophetess Remanded In Prison For Stealing Life Turkey in Osun State
