In my 32 years of acting, I still haven’t done 100 movies – RMD reveals

Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo said he has yet to make a 100 movies in his 32 years as an actor.

“I have not achieved half of what I want to; I still hope to do better films. The roles are never finished and in spite of all you think I have done, I have not featured in up to 100 movies. I have been in this profession for about 32 years but I still have not done up to 100 movies. Actors do not retire; we keep working until we drop. I am not tilting towards modelling; I only made a joke on my Instagram page. As an actor, you are a model anyway.”

US Aviation bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on all flights

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones will be banned from all airline flights after nearly 100 incidents of the devices overheating and sometimes injuring owners, the Transportation Department announced Friday.

The Federal Aviation Administration previously urged travelers not to turn on the phones, pack them in checked luggage or charge them during a flight. The new ban is effective at noon Saturday, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said.

Reports have it that some dare-devil gunmen on Thursday evening snatched the pilot car of the Cross River State Deputy Governor, Prof Ivara Esu, and killed a policeman in the process.

A man has reportedly stabbed his girlfriend of three years to death for returning his engagement ring and breaking up with him. The man identified as Rodney Harvey after executing the gruesome act also killed himself by jumping to his death from her apartment.

The woman identified as Julia Martin had broken up with her boyfriend before the incident happened.

According to the ChicagoTribune, Martin, a 27-year-old from Detroit, tried to save her own life. She grabbed her phone and called police about 7 p.m. She asked them to send an ambulance for her. She told them the name of the man who stabbed her.

The third quarter report of the Nigeria Police Force Complaint Response Unit (CRU), has revealed that the unit has recovered N2.7 million bribe from an Assistant Commissioner of Police (name withheld) serving in one of the state commands.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the report which was signed by Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle, Head of CRU in Abuja, the recovery followed a complaint made to the CRU through a telephone call.

Shogunle said that necessary disciplinary procedures were ongoing against the officer involved in the misconduct, adding that the suspect arrested in respect of the case had since been handed over to the relevant agency for prosecution.
