US Aviation bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on all flights

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones will be banned from all airline flights after nearly 100 incidents of the devices overheating and sometimes injuring owners, the Transportation Department announced Friday.

The Federal Aviation Administration previously urged travelers not to turn on the phones, pack them in checked luggage or charge them during a flight. The new ban is effective at noon Saturday, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said.

The United States has lifted the ban of travelers to bring home Cuban rum and cigars. This is according to a report by ABC News.

The Obama administration announced Friday a new round of executive actions designed to increase trade and travel with the communist island. And this is the one many Americans have been waiting for no more restrictions on the island's famed rum and cigars.

Under the new rules, travelers can purchase unlimited quantities of Cuban rum and cigars in any country where they are sold so long as they are for personal consumption. Sorry American couch potatoes: You can't order Cuban rum and cigars online and have them shipped to your home.

The third quarter report of the Nigeria Police Force Complaint Response Unit (CRU), has revealed that the unit has recovered N2.7 million bribe from an Assistant Commissioner of Police (name withheld) serving in one of the state commands.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the report which was signed by Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle, Head of CRU in Abuja, the recovery followed a complaint made to the CRU through a telephone call.

Shogunle said that necessary disciplinary procedures were ongoing against the officer involved in the misconduct, adding that the suspect arrested in respect of the case had since been handed over to the relevant agency for prosecution.
