Unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins yesterday at about 2am, stormed the residence of an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Gambo Adamu at Sha'iskawa quarters in Gusau the capital of Zamfara state and shot him dead. The gunmen believed to be assassins, shot the deceased at close range, causing him to die instantly.

The gunmen in the same vein attacked the home of one Ibrahim Muhammad at Filin Jirgi area, killing him in the presence of his wailing wife.

The four pupils, Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi, Vice Principal, Junior School, AO Oyesola and English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde, who were abducted last Thursday at the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Epe have been released by the kidnappers around 10:30pm, Tuesday night.

The kidnappers initially demanded N120 million for the release of the abducted people but then reduced it to N3.5m on Sunday.

Nigerian Army personnel last Saturday beat the living daylights out of a computer salesman, Maxwell Nwosu at Ikeja. The Army personnel identified simply as Lieutenant Adeniji was allegedly hired to by Nwosu’s customer who bought a computer keyboard one month ago. 

The Keyboard was said to have developed a fault, prompting the customer to contact the army personnel who followed him to the shop. The military personnel had pounced on the computer salesman and allegedly beat him to coma.
