Nigeria Super Falcons coach Florence Omagbemi has warned the defending champions cannot afford to underrate any team at this year’s Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Cameroon.

Sunday’s draw has pitted the Falcons in Group B alongside Mali, Ghana and debutants Kenya, Omagbemi said: “We have been playing against Ghana’s Black Queens for years.

Chief Justice of the Federation cautions judges against delay in judgement

The Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, has called on judges in Nigeria to reduce the delays in dispensing justice.

The Afesere Ekiugbo  delivery line, operated  by the Nigeria petroleum  development Company (NPDC) was blown Up yesterday,  by a militant group called the Niger delta  Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM)

Awesome pipeline was bombed by 11.30pm, on September  18th,  2016. The group attacked  at the Ekiugbo delivery line in Ughelli operated by the NPDC/shorelines.

The federal  government  is the expected to intervene as the group is unrelenting in their attacks.

Fuel (Gas) scarcity hits some US cities

Some states in the USA are experiencing fuel (gas) shortages especially states in the South-East of the country including Tennessee and Alabama.

The fuel shortage was sparked when a 330,000-gallon spill shut down a gasoline pipeline in Alabama on the 9th of September. This, in turn, led to a spike in fuel price.

This has become a problem as some cities have gone into panic prompting some people to start stockpiling fuel in their homes for fear of an all-out scarcity.

Rochas Okorocha advocates Jail Term for Female genital mutilation

The Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has warned that from henceforth, female genital mutilation (FGM) will attract imprisonment.

Rochas Okorocha affirmed that as soon as the bill against FGM is passed into law by the State House of Assembly, punishment for offenders might run into several years of imprisonment.

The Governor gave this hint at the launch of the campaign against FGM , initiated by his wife, Nkechi, in collaboration with United Nations Fund for Population Agency (UNFPA), described the practice as barbaric and unacceptable.
