Father Mbaka says Jonathan, others do not deserve to remain in Nigeria (Full Transcript)

In a video message obtained by Premium Times, Mr. Mbaka urged the devotees at his popular Adoration Ground in Enugu to desist from speaking evil against President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the reports, the exact date of the message couldn't be ascertain, but it addressed recent occurrences, including the hardship being experienced by Nigerians.

People from Chibok community resident in Abuja and members of the #BringBackOurGirls (BBOG), movement on Monday said they regretted voting for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election.

The Speaker, Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Idris Garba, in his humanitarian gesture has donated N1 million to 105 candidates to purchase scratch cards for registration of the 2016 November/December NECO examination.

In an interview with journalists on Monday, the local education committee chairman in his constituency, Alhaji Sani Sarki, made this disclosure.

According to Alh Sarki, 70 male and 30 female candidates from Jahun Local Government Area of the state which the speaker represents benefited from the donation.

Security agents on Monday blocked the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement from gaining access to the presidential villa, as part of their advocacy for the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls.

Stakeholders reject call for reduction of work days

Labour leaders, lawyers, academics and other stakeholders have condemned the move by Imo, Benue and Sokoto to reduce the working hours and days in their states.

They disclosed in separate interviews that the development was illegal, unconstitutional and a fundamental breach of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention.

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue had directed civil servants to use Fridays for farming, while Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo pushed for a law that provides for three days for work and two days for farming.

Some stakeholders have expressed support for the decision of Imo and Benue governments to reduce working days to boost agricultural production in the country.
